Hi, I'm Krystal — the founder of More Than Mats.

I started this business while I was still in school, looking for a way to support myself that didn't depend on anyone else and could ease some of the financial stress that comes with being a student. I wanted to build something that was mine — something I made with my own hands and my own voice, that could grow into real independence.

For over 7 years, I've worked in residential housing, and if there's one thing that work has taught me, it's this: a home is so much more than walls and a roof. It's the small, personal details that make you feel something the moment you walk through the door. I've seen up close how much it matters for a space to feel like yours — and how something as small as a doormat can be the first sign that a home has personality, before anyone even steps inside.

That's where More Than Mats came from. I wanted to make doormats that say something about you — funny, sentimental, a little sassy, whatever fits — because I believe your front door deserves more than the plain, forgettable mat everyone else has.
